The elegant Ferrari California faithfully reproduced in precise detail at very large scale with open roof. At 1:8 the model is approximately 60 cms (24 inches) long. The model is extremely accurate and was developed using original data. Each model is mounted on a carbon fibre base plate with a museum quality clear acrylic dust cover. Inside the cabin is recreated in precise and realistic detail with every piece of equipment and every button on the dash beautifully reproduced. Creating the master model took around 3,000 hours of work by a small team of highly skilled modelmakers. The master parts were then used to create moulds from which the components of each model of the limited edition of 199 were hand cast in prototyping resin. Each individual model then took around 300 hours more to finish and build. This is undoubtedly the best large scale model of the California available anywhere in the world. Each model in the edition of 199 pieces has a signed certificate of authentication and a unique edition numbered plate on the base.
